LEGOLAND Tower Reaches into the Record Books
Though it is yet to be verified, LEGOLAND® are hoping that their latest attraction will reach into the Guinness Book of World Records as the tallest LEGO tower ever made.
Standing at a little over the monumental height of 100ft, the tower is thought to be 4ft taller than the previous World Record holder which was built in Toronto last August. The attraction at LEGOLAND Windsor was built to mark the opening of the new Land of the Vikings area and is designed to resemble the towering mast of a Viking longboat.
The building of the huge tower was helped by thousands of visitors to the park and is made of nearly 500,000 individual bricks. Requiring the use of a giant crane to hoist the sections together and reinforced guide ropes to hold the tower steady, the structure is due to be assessed by official adjudicators in the coming few days. If you want to see the new tower for yourself, get down to the new Land of the Vikings area at LEGOLAND Windsor.
